Take a little peek into the last week, would ya?

Great way to start the day. Finding what was a full bottle on the counter, to a half empty one on the floor. I had them out so as to not forget them on the way story time. I was giving them to a pregnant mama struggling with heartburn. We basically never use these outside of pregnancy.

Apparently they are tasty to 2 year olds.

According to poison control, they will just cause either constipation or diarrhea.

Yay, just kidding. At least it wasn’t too bad.

Every time I wrap one of my kiddos up like this, I feel like Sacajawea.

She totally loves it too.

Have you started your fall planting?

No?

Get on it!

Freshly harvested!

This little punk.

I could not understand why my pepper plant was not getting any bigger. It was as if it had plateaued. Except the season is not yet over.

Of course just like they say, when you see one of these you wonder how it is that you never saw it before. This guy was huge.

Needless to say, the pepper plant is much happier, and larger now.

Remember the above harvest?

It made a tasty pasta dinner.

That morning when all you want is a cup of coffee. When the explosion of coffee grounds appeared on the counter, I realized how much I really needed it.

I think daddy should keep making coffee for mommy in the morning. Then this won’t happen.

She can reach all the counters, all the time now. Nothing is safe.

Thursday game day, was also DS’s 9 month check up. They have chalk boards in every room, which is a nice distraction for DD while we wait.

She’s so cute. Telling me what each letter is.

My little green space, in a neighborhood of rocks.

See all the overturned 5 and 6 gallon buckets? We turned those into self watering containers last week. Everything that we planted has already sprouted up too.

I followed the directions in this book on how to make your own self watering container; The Vegetable Gardener’s Container Bible: How to Grow a Bounty of Food in Pots, Tubs, and Other Containers.

We did get all the buckets for free, just like he said, asking around. We made an adjustment in them too, simply to save money. We did not use vinyl gutter for the center piece we used PVC pipe, and empty containers, like yogurt and peanut butter.

That made them all free to make! You should try it. Oh, and the book is very informative too.

That blurr in the background climbed into her brothers nap time all by herself.

I had some fun editing this photo while nursing. I mean there isn’t much else I can do.

Toddler walks are fun sometimes. They see the craziest stuff.

Actually that is not quite true is it?

They just see what is there, while we walk past.

I thought she found a bunch of trash and was just going to brush it off. I reminded myself that this was her walk and I should check it out with her, even if it is trash.

Well guess what?

She found a patch of mushrooms. They were just behind a small bush and two feet off of a sidewalk. I wonder how many people walk by and don’t notice them each day?

A friend sent my this photo from my birthday in June.

Again I had fun editing while nursing.

It came out pretty nice, but the cropping kinda made it pixelated.

What were you up to this week?

I love the photo of you and Steve. You both make a beautiful couple. I love Kaya in her Packers gear. Way to go on the gardening. I really want to start one next year.
