Another Week In Photos

Another week has gone by.

Here’s a little peek at what we were up to.
Just whipping out my cell phone, and snapping a shot or two. Of course if I remember to do so.

The injured pup got this little basket delivered to the door.
The tag says a-DOG-agble, in case you can’t read it. Too cute.

A little Monday night up cycling. Yes please.

Took a board from the changing table turned book shelf, and made this.
I have a bunch of oils and sauces that had to lay down in the cabinet because they were too tall. Not efficient use of cabinet space, fyi.
So there I sat, and wondered what we had in the house that I could use to make a tiny shelf.
Ta Da! Love it. So much more functional.

I follow Creative Travel Mugs Blog. I purchased one of her mugs for S from the kids for Valentines last year. She happens to do random giveaways of the coffee and tea type, so why not follow?
Well this week she posted a healthier snack recipe. Peanut butter, and chocolate? I had to make it. Wa la. Tasty. Even with almond milk, and not so packed cups of brown sugar.

I often make a crustless quiche for dinner. It bakes at 400 for 40 minutes. Somewhere during the baking process one of the kids turned the temperature up to around 450. Gah!! I’m not even sure which one did it.
I thought dinner was going to be inedible. I am glad that I was wrong. It wasn’t 100% normal, but good enough. Seems like the bottom just cooked a little faster than the rest, but not even burnt.

Yesterday the kids were crazy. Maybe I was just lacking the right amount of patience. Not sure which, but either way it was a bad combination.

K1 just kept asking for everything. Over. And over. And over. Again. Oh, and when she got what she asked for. She. Just. Asked. For, “something else.”

Seriously, talk about making a mama crazy.

Either way. Crazy day, or sane easy day. I do still love them. Occasionally I stop to snap a photo of myself with them. Just so they remember. Later of course.

Our second fully successful vegan meal. There were no photo’s of the first one because it was the same day as the doggie attack.

This was vegan stuffed shells, butternut squash fries, and salad with beets, carrots, and croutons.

Usually when I make dinner if the recipe contains crushed red pepper, cumin, or cayenne pepper, I either omit them or decrease them. This was the first time that I did not, and, I totally should have. Luckily I trusted myself and made a few shells without sauce on them for the kids. They did dry out a bit, so I won’t repeat that. At least I know for next time.

Feel free to check out some other Insta Fridayer’s.
